    What this test measures

Obsessive-compulsive symptoms include intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviours (checking, washing, counting, seeking reassurance). This questionnaire is a screen to help you notice how much those patterns take up your time and distress you.

Time spent on obsessions and compulsions, how much they interfere with life, and how hard they are to resist. It is not a full Y-BOCS clinician interview.

    How scoring works

Answer based on a typical recent week. Higher scores mean symptoms are more time-consuming or distressing. A clinician would still need a full assessment to talk about OCD as a diagnosis.

    Lower · Mild or minimal

Occasional habits or worries that do not run your day.

    Mid · Moderate

Rituals or thoughts are costing time or comfort. Therapy (often ERP) can help.

    Higher · Severe

Symptoms likely dominate daily life. Specialist OCD support is recommended.

This is a screening questionnaire, not a medical diagnosis. Results are for self-awareness only. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a helpline immediately.

Frequent, unwanted, and bothersome ideas that assault your mind repeatedly and cause you great anguish are called obsessions. These compulsive thoughts can be debilitating and challenging to manage.

Repetitive actions or ideas brought on by these compulsive thoughts are known as compulsions. Compulsion sufferers have an intense need to carry out these behaviors again to reduce their anxiety or stop the occurrence of a feared event. Identifying and comprehending these indications is essential for the treatment of disorders like Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
